The Pathway of Support is a way for Warwick community to contribute to the Lord Leycester fundraising campaign to raise £1million that will improve the Heritage of the site and the visitor experience.

One of the fundraising goals is to create an accessible path through the Master’s Garden.

The Master of the Lord Leycester Hospital, Heidi Meyer said, “We want to create a path accessible for all through our 500 year old garden and we hope that community residents will want to be part of making this happen.”

This year the Lord Leycester Hospital, a registered charity, and one of the most important and valuable medieval buildings in England, celebrates the 450th anniversary of its founding by Queen Elizabeth I’s favourite Robert Dudley, Lord Leycester.

With the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund the Hospital is embarking on a programme to conserve and improve the site making it a more exciting and accessible visitor attraction.

The plan is to develop a new pathway, funded by sponsored bricks that will be placed along the path bearing an inscription of choice by the donor.

The target for the Pathway of Support is 250 sponsored bricks to raise £100,000.
