A pupil at a school in Warwick has tested positive for Covid-19.

Warwickshire County Council said they have been made aware and have issued advice to parents.

Dr Sahde Agboola, director of Public Health in Warwickshire said: “We have been notified that a pupil at Aylesford School in Warwick has tested positive for Covid-19

“In line with advice from Public Health Warwickshire, we have reviewed all possible close contacts and all staff and students with direct contact with the positive case have been contacted and asked to self-isolate for 14 days.

“The rest of the school remains safe and open to all other pupils.

"If you have not been contacted directly, then your child can continue their normal activities.

"We would ask that if anyone within a household is showing any symptoms of the virus; a high temperature, a continuous cough and a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste that all household members should self isolate until that person has been tested and it is negative."
