A pupil at a primary school in Whitnash has written a letter during an online English lesson which is spreading a message of positivity among NHS staff.

The Year 5 team at St Margaret's CE Junior School in Coppice Road have said: "The first English lesson back the teachers decided to set the task, for our children, to write a thank you letter to someone.

"This could have of been to Father Christmas, a teacher, a parent the choice was theirs.

"One of our children wrote a lovely letter thanking all the staff working for the NHS.

"Her father, who works in a hospital, shared this letter with a colleague.

"She then asked to share it with her sister, a paramedic, who was struggling with the COVID situation.

"This then was passed on further and further and has resulted in it being shared amongst the East Midlands team.

"We thought the letter was so well written and they had really thought about what the NHS staff have given up and sacrificed for our country that it would be lovely if you could use your platform to share this."
