Person cut free after three-car collision

Firefighters had to cut a person from their car after a three-vehicle crash along Honiley Road.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision the A4177 near to the Five Ways roundabout at 6.20pm on Tuesday.

One person had to be cut free after being found trapped inside one car. They were later taken to hospital by ambulance, but the extent of the injuries is not known.

The drivers and passengers in the other cars were not thought to have been hurt.

Firefighters from Kenilworth and Leamington attended the scene.

A spokesperson from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “This was a road accident involving three private motor vehicles on roadway, one person was trapped.

“Fire crews used hydraulic rescue equipment, stabilisation equipment and hose reel to assist with releasing casualty and making vehicles safe.

“This incident was closed at 1941 hours.
