Residents of Kenilworth braved the bad weather on Friday November 27 to watch the town’s Christmas lights get switched on.
Touch FM hosted the evening, and entertainment before the lights came on included a Michael Buble tribute act, a performance of Beauty and the Beast by actors from the Priory Theatre, and a nativity production.
The lights were switched on at 7pm by town mayor Cllr Michael Coker, Carnival Queen Imogen Silitto and Chair of Warwick District Council Michael Doody.
After the lights were turned on, Warwickshire pop band YKM entertained the crowd until 8pm.
High Street’s switch-on will be on Friday December 4, with activities starting from 5pm and the lights being switch on at 6:30pm.
