Riding School leads way in accessibility programme

A south Warwickshire equestrian centre has led the way in inspiring others across the country to take part in a scheme that provide more riding opportunities for disabled people.

Radway Riding Centre formed an association with the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) in 2014 to enable it to take part in the British Equestrian Federation’s Accessibility Mark scheme - which aims to encourage those who would not usually have the opportunity to go horse riding. And in the past week, the RDA signed up its 30th centre to the scheme.

Maggie Boswell of the Radway school said: “We have been able to deliver lessons to disabled riders with the knowledge that what we are delivering is consistent with an RDA centre. We are thankful to the RDA for their continued support with the training of our staff to ensure we are kept up to date with how to deliver safe and engaging lessons.”
