Party games and prizes were on offer when Leamington’s only indoor shopping centre celebrated a major milestone this week.
Stores at The Royal Priors shopping centre in the town centre marked its 25th anniversary on Wednesday by giving discounts to shoppers while the centre’s management put on a party for the event.
Royal Priors centre manager Gerry McManus said: “We are very pleased to be celebrating our 25th year in Royal Leamington Spa and wanted to thank our shoppers by holding a birthday party in the centre.
“There was free entertainment and fun for families as well as exclusive special offers and discounts on the day.
“There have been lots of changes at the centre over the last 25 years, including a £7 million refurbishment and extension in 2002.
“This year, we are pleased to welcome some exciting new brands such as Carluccio’s.
“I’ve been at the” centre for more than 17 years and have thoroughly enjoyed working in the town and being involved in the local community.
“We are very much looking forward to the next 25 years .”
The Royal Priors is home to more than 60 shops and cafes and welcomes more than 7.5 million shoppers a year through its doors
It opened in March 1988, and was officially opened by the Queen shortly after.
Forthcoming events include a live music performance by Peace at Head in the Lower Mall today (Friday) at 3.30pm.
Jigsaw will be putting on a ten per cent discount day on Wednesday April 17 from 11am to 3pm.
