Warwick and Leamington MP, Chris White was among around 50 guests at the new ice cream parlour Gallone’s, which opened its doors in the Parade in Leamington last week.
Owners Viv Thyer and Lynne Johnson said: “We are delighted with the first few days we have had in Leamington.”
Gallone’s ice cream has been made in the Midlands since 1935. All ice cream is still made at the Gallone’s Kingsthorpe factory and is sold across the UK, as well as in their Northamptonshire, Harborough, Bedford and Leamington parlours.
Chairman of the Royal Leamington Spa Chamber of Trade Parminder Birdi officially opened the parlour. He said: “It’s great to see a company like Gallone’s setting up on the Parade, selling high quality products and helping to make Leamington an eating, shopping and leisure destination.”
The parlour is open seven days a week, selling hot and cold drinks and cakes as well as ice cream.
