Traffic delays after RTC at Warwick Hospital

Drivers are being warned of delays around Warwick town centre after a road collision in the grounds of Warwick Hospital.

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Crews and police were called to the Lakin Road site after reports of a collision just before 5pm on Wednesday.

It is understood that a car was driven off the road and car park site, and into another vehicle, mounting the bonnet and causing damage to both vehicles.

A police spokesperson described “slight injuries” at the scene and that the driver may have suffered a “medical episode”.

A statement read: “We are in attendance at an RTC on the grounds of Warwick Hospital.

“Traffic in the area is building up; avoid if possible.”

The accident is understood to have happened just before 5pm on Wednesday March 16.
