Justice for Palestinians group hold vigil outside Leamington Town Hall

Carefully observing social distancing rules, 'Justice for Palestinians - Leamington Spa' held a vigil outside Leamington Town Hall on Saturday.

A spokesperson for the group said: "Our aim was to draw attention to the Israeli government’s threat to formally annex up to 30 per cent of land which for centuries has been owned by Palestinians.

"Ten people including Warwick University students took part, displaying placards which read ‘Palestinian Lives Matter’ and ‘Ethnic Cleansing is not the way to Peace’.

"Many members of the public stopped for conversations, with some joining the vigil."
