Fire crews expressed their frustration online after a van was caught partially blocking the entrance to Kenilworth Fire Station in School Lane today (Wednesday March 1).
A post on the station’s Facebook page read: “Our station forecourt is not a car park, especially directly in front of the bay doors.
“This could have caused us to lose vital seconds responding to an emergency.”
This is not the first time the entrance has been parked on by inconsiderate drivers.
A car was caught parking outside the station during the evening of Sunday January 8.
Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service used that particular example to highlight their ‘Park it Right’ campaign, which encourages drivers to think carefully about how they park so as not to slow emergency services down.
