Pupils and staff at Wolverton Primary School, in Norton Lindsey, have been praised for their top performance in Key Stage 2 tests by the Minister of State for Schools, David Laws.

The school sits at the top of the school performance tables in Warwickshire as a consequence and it is one of only 149 primary schools in the whole of the UK to achieve such results.

Head teacher Marjorie Dean said: “Our team are committed to providing the best education for our students, whilst creating the most welcoming environment.

“To be recognised for this is a fantastic achievement and one that we hope will encourage new starters from September onwards.

“These exceptional skills ensure the pupils will be confident and capable when they move on to secondary school.”
