Woman and daughter attacked at Asda in Sydenham

Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault at Asda in Sydenham in which a woman and her teenage daughter were assaulted.

A 48-year-old woman from Leamington has been arrested on suspicion of occasioning actual bodily harm and inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent, in connection with the incident.

She has been bailed until Friday June 19 pending further enquiries.

The incident happened on Sunday 31 May at around 3.30pm in Asda car park in Chesterton Drive.

An altercation occurred between a 43-year-old woman and a 48-year-old woman, resulting in the older woman physically assaulting the other.

The daughter of the victim, a 15-year-old girl, intervened and was also assaulted.

The victims sustained minor injuries during the incident and the offender is believed to be known to them.
