Woman in her 70s rescued after car crashes into tree and wall in Lillington

A woman in her 70s was rescued from her car after it crashed into a tree and a wall in Lillington yesterday afternoon (Wednesday March 15).

West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the crash at 4.40pm, which happened at the junction of Lime Avenue and Cedar Close.

She was fully conscious after the crash, but Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service had to use cutting equipment to release the woman from the car.

She had neck and back pain, as well as cuts to her head. She was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire on blue lights.
