Festive magic of The Nutcracker
In what has now become an annual tradition for many families and audiences, Sir Peter Wright’s production of Tchaikovsky’s ballet The Nutcracker comes to the venue, where it will be performed by Birmingham Royal Ballet and run from tomorrow (Friday) until Sunday December 13.
The sets and costumes of John F Macfarlane see magical creatures come to life, flurries of snow sweep across the stage and an unforgettable transformation sequence, all of which have helped make this production become widely regarded as one of the best in the world.
