Musical celebrates glam rock’s own 20th Century Boy Bolan at Coventry theatre

A NEW musical all about glam rocker Marc Bolan and his band, T. Rex, will run at Coventry’s Belgrade Theatre next month.

The production, called 20th Century Boy, will include a full-scale musical production and will coincide with the 35th anniversary of the star’s death. It is being performed from Friday September 14 to Saturday September 29.

The show will be packed with all of T. Rex’s 1970s hits, including Ride a White Swan, Metal Guru, Get It On, I Love to Boogie, Children of the Revolution, and the title track 20th Century Boy.

Written by Peter Rowe, 20th Century Boy will be directed by award-winning director and choreographer Gary Lloyd, who recently directed the hit West End Michael Jackson musical, Thriller Live.
