X-FACTOR’S Diana Vickers will perform at the Leamington Assembly on Tuesday November 19.

The pop star, whose first album ‘Songs from the Tainted Cherry Tree’ reached number one in the UK album chart, auditioned for the fifth series of X-Factor in 2008.

She was voted off the show at the quarter final stage but was then signed to Sony Music’s RCA Records.

She has since worked with many high profile producers and artists including Nerina Pallot, Ellie Goulding, Cass Lowe, Guy Sigsworth, Chris Braide, Savan Kotecha, Starsmith, Alexis Strum, Patrick Wolf and Dev Hynes aka Lightspeed Champion.

The 19-year-old said: “I’ve been crazy busy since X-Factor. It took me six months to
write my album and I was performed at the West End for four months too.

“I’m so glad I went on X-Factor because it was the right time for me and I never had any doubt in my mind that I wouldn’t make it to where I am now.

“I’ve just been really focused, had a lot of ambition and have worked really hard.

“I never wanted anything handed to me on a plate.”

Diana describes her music as ‘bubble gum pop’ and is now in the process of working on her second album.

She said: “I’m concentrating on my music now but would like to act at some stage as well.

“The thing is, I don’t want to rush into everything, I want to build myself up slowly.

“The next thing on my mind is my tour, which I’m really excited about.

“I just love performing with a live band - there’s nothing like it.”

Doors to Diana’s show open at 7pm and the latest entry will be 9pm.
