Songs, laughs and scary fun with The Gruffalo’s Child

Tall Stories, the internationally acclaimed theatre company behind The Gruffalo, returns to Warwick Arts Centre until Sunday January 3, with their latest production having started at the venue this week.

They are bringing Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s captivating sequel to life in a magical and musical adaptation of The Gruffalo’s Child. There will be songs, laughs and scary fun for children aged three and above and and their families.

The show tells how, one wild and windy night, the Gruffalo’s child ignores her father’s warning and tiptoes out into the snow. After all, the Big Bad Mouse doesn’t really exist – does he?

Tall Stories’ stage adaptation has been described by The Kist as “everything good children’s theatre should be”.

The show’s running time is 55 minutes, and there is no interval. It is directed by Olivia Jacobs alongside Toby Mitchell as creative producer, with design by Isla Shaw and lighting design by James Whiteside.
