Southam choir sings for fun and charity

A Southam womens’ choir have celebrated their first anniversary by holding a ‘cupcakes and fizz’ party.

Established 12 months ago by former Womens’ Institute chairwoman Alison Cragg, The Southam Melody Makers are made up singers with varied experience.

Some have sang in various choirs for many years while others have not performed since their school days.

They sing mainly for fun and also to raise money for charity and there are no auditions for anybody who wants to join.

The choir will next take the stage in a joint concert with Leamington Royal Naval Male Voice Choir at St Michael and All Angels church in Stockton on Friday July 15 from 7.30pm.

New singers are always welcome.
