The professional company will perform A Midsummer Night’s Dream in the grounds of Mary Arden’s Farm near Stratford tonight (August 1) and then Twelfth Night at the same venue tomorrow (August 2).

One of Shakespeare’s best-loved comedies, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, set amidst the forest of Athens, features passionate lovers, magical fairies, farcical misunderstandings and happy endings.

Oddsocks’ Twelfth Night is a modern and musical take on the bard’s classic tale of mistaken identity, love and disguise. Discarding their doublet, hose and fairy tights to don sharp suits, the cast of six will pick up their electric guitars, plug in the amps and treat the audience to an evening of Brit pop and a party tunes.

In the year when the nation celebrates 450 years since Shakespeare was born, the company are also marking their 25th anniversary and have already toured 70 productions during 2014 so far. They are regulars at Mary Ardens Farm - which remains one of their most popular performance venues.

Both performances start at 7.30pm and tickets cost from £10. Mary Arden’s Farm is in Wilmcote (CV37 9UN) near Stratford. Visit www.oddsocks.co.uk/theatre/box-office
