Miles Tredinnick’s Up Pompeii, based on the original characters created for the Frankie Howard BBC comedy, sees a myriad of sexual liaisons tie all involved in convoluted knots. And while growing chaos ensues, an increasing rumble is heard in the distance. What could that possibly be?

Priory spokesman Kevin Coughlan promised audiences “an evening of laughs and side-splitting humour”, adding: “Up Pompeii is proving to be great fun for the actors in rehearsals and the show has something for everyone.”

The play, directed by Mark Jefferies, runs from Wednesday (July 9) until Saturday July 19 at 7.30pm each evening. For tickets, call 863334.
