Tinch Strydes to Coventry

RAPPER and R&B star Tinchy Stryder will headline the Urban Jam event at the Ricoh Arena later this year.

The diminutive rapper will be joined at the Jaguar Hall on Sunday October 28 by other popular urban artists such as Chipmunk, Fazer, Dot Rotten, Angel, Radio 1Xtra’s Charlie Sloth, Benny Banks, Lady Leshurr, Kliq and Dan W.

Liz Cooper, the Coventry venue’s marketing director, believes promoters Perpetual Events has put together an exciting line-up.

She said: “This is a night not to be missed for fans of this genre of music,” she said. “We are delighted to be bringing such a fantastic number of acts in one night to the Ricoh Arena.

“Tinchy has been shining brightly in the music world ever since he was the biggest selling male artist in 2009 due to his aptly-named single track Number 1 and album Catch 22.

“He has played gigs at large stadiums and festivals across the UK and this is certain to be a special night in the Jaguar Hall.

“The rest of the line-up is also fantastic with big names such as Chipmunk and hip-hop artist Charlie Sloth who has the prime drivetime programme on Radio 1Xtra while rapper Fazer, who used to be in N-Dubz, is launching his solo career this month and is set for big things.
