TV star to judge at Leamington art competition

Gallery 150 in Leamington is welcoming a television star to its current exhibition this Friday (July 18).

Mike Brewer, known from the Discovery Channel’s Wheeler Dealer will announce the winner of Driven 2014, in which artists of all levels have been invited to submit their best automotive artwork.

Known for his extensive experience in the motor industry, Mike has been a British Car Trader and is now an acclaimed motoring television presenter.

A prize of £250 will be awarded on Friday night to the winning artist.

Alongside, Julian Thomson, assistant design director for Jaguar, will judge the young persons’ competition. Julian is best known for his work on Lotus Elise, Range Rover Evoque and current Jaguar cars.

Gallery manager Kate Livingston said: “It is very exciting for Gallery 150 to have two such wonderful and informative special guest judges, with their wealth of knowledge in the motor industry behind them.

“It is an honour to have someone of Mike Brewer and Julian Thomson’s caliber in Gallery 150. Please come and show your support for the local art and car industry and meet our special guests.”
