Vagina Monologues is in Leamington back with fresh theme

A CAMPAIGN against the rape and abuse of women across the world takes the main thread of a new all-student charity production of the Vagina Monologues coming to Leamington.

Although a comedy, the production of the famous play by Eve Ensler, which is produced and performed every year by members of Warwick University’s anti-sexism society, will approach serious issues, centring around the One Billion Rising movement.

French and Theatre Studies student Fiona Grieg, who is co-producing and co-directing the show with Phoebe Demeger, said: “It’s been an absolutely fantastic project to be a part of. Everyone is helping each other out and boosting each other’s confidence.
