Warwick Castle jazzes things up for festival

ALL things jazz will descend on Warwick Castle as the historic site takes part in the 27th Birmingham International Jazz and Blues Festival.

The event attracts bands from across the globe, while around 250,000 come into contact with the week-long festival.

In Warwick, an act will be hosted in the picturesque setting of the castle’s Victorian Conservatory when King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys play to audiences on Friday.

King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys have been on the road for two decades, playing every European country, as well as the USA and Russia, and recording 10 CDs.

Dazzling musicianship, riveting stage performances, more than 50 TV appearances and 75 radio broadcasts have established them as the Kings of Swing.

Gates open at 6.15pm and performances start at 7pm. Children are welcome. People can bring folding chairs and picnics to enjoy during the shows, but gazebos are not permitted.

Tickets cost £12.50, including daytime entry before the performances (excluding Merlin: The Dragon Tower and the Castle Dungeon.
