Until November 27: Art lovers in Leamington have got the chance to view and buy original artwork from future stars of the art world at a special exhibition. Students from Leamington College are selling 10 inch by 10 inch artworks for £10 at the annual 10x10x10 special exhibition. All arts students across a range of courses were invited to take part and have produced work including photography, illustration, printmaking, painting, collage, drawing and textile pieces. A percentage of each sale will go to the School of Arts charity of the year, SSNAP, which supports sick and premature babies in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital. Periodic Tales: The Art of the Elements

Exhibition runs at Compton Verney until December 13. The exhibition is based on the best-selling book, Periodic Tales: The Curious Lives of the Elements by Hugh Aldersey-Williams. Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum, until December 6: A celebration of the 10th anniversary of Leamington Football Club reaching the first round proper of the FA Cup. As well as memorabilia, those who wish to relive the football matches can watch a film documenting the cup run on the TV screen in the museum. There will also be a place for people to share their memories of the day.

Collegium Choir sings The Sparrow and St Nicholas Masses at St Mary’s church, Warwick, at 7.30pm. The Mozart “Sparrow” mass is so called because of the bird-like chirping motif in the organ part during the Sanctus and Benedictus. It’s a festive setting first performed in Salzburg Cathedral at Easter 1776. The Haydn “St Nicholas” mass was composed in 1772 for St Nicholas’ Day, the name day of Haydn’s court employer, prince Nicolaus Esterhazy. Mozart’s ‘Laudate Dominum’ is a lyrical solo movement from his Solemn Vespers of 1780. The dynamic and exhilarating ‘Insanae et vanae curae’ is a chorus from one of Haydn’s early oratorios.

St John’s Museum, Warwick, 10am to 4pm: To celebrate the creation of new 3D prints of historic jewellery, Heritage and Culture Warwickshire us running a jewellery workshop. Participants are invited to discover the stories behind centuries of Warwickshire jewellery history and make a wearable piece of their own to keep. Get the chance to see prototype 3D prints of treasures such as a golden ring from the fifteenth century which was given as a New Year’s Gift, a gold and garnet ring inscribed with a secret message of love and a silver Tudor dress pin, not only a decorative way to fasten your garments, but a status symbol too. One of hip hop’s greatest pioneers will send records and clubbers into a spin when he headlines at the Kasbah in Coventry. South Bronx-born Grandmaster Flash is widely credited as the King of hip hop after he was the first DJ to manipulate vinyl records on the decks to modify and create a new sound.

Multi-award winning comedian Sean Hughes is back at the Spa Centre, Leamington with a new show called Mumbo Jumbo. The show consists of stories including trekking with mountain gorillas in Rwanda and coming to the conclusion that he will never have a proper conversation with his dear mum. Musicians from across Warwickshire will be making music at the Spa Centre in Leamington in a family fun concert designed to appeal to music lovers of all ages. Warwickshire Symphony Orchestra’s annual Family Concert features cannons, magical spells, fighter aeroplanes and animals in the musical line-up, and with audience participation an important part of the show.

Works being performed include Dukas’ The Scorcerer’s Apprentice (magical spells), 633 Squadron (fighter planes), Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture (cannons) and selected pieces from the Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saëns. American blues-rock guitarist Walter Trout very nearly wasn’t here. In summer 2014 ago he underwent an incredible life-saving liver transplant. He had lost 13 pints of blood and was in a coma for three days, when he came out he suffered from encephalopathy, a temporary brain damage but due to the life-saving liver operation he is now back and fitter than ever and will be playing at Leamington Assembly.
