Absolutely fabulous for innovative Jo who hits UK top 100

AFTER a career in retail and marketing Jo Stroud decided it was time to set up something in her own right.

That was seven years ago when Jo opened the Fabulous jewellery store in the Royal Priors shopping centre in Leamington.

The business was so successful that she went on to open a second shop in Touchwood, Solihull, and then a third in Bath, which she has recently expanded.

But earlier this month Jo really knew she’s made it when she was officially named in the trade magazine Professional Jeweller as being among the industry’s Hot 100 retailers.

Magazine editor-in-chief Rachael Taylor said: “This year’s Hot 100 was an absolutely stunning event and our party in Covent Garden recognises the best of the best in the UK jewellery industry.

“Everyone who has made it into the 2012 Hot 100 has excelled in the past year.”

Jo was praised for her true innovation and contribution to the industry. But she had no idea she was going to be named until it was announced in the sumptuous art deco Freemasons’ Hall in London - a suitable setting for people who deal in precious stones.
