Hysolv Animal Health UK has established a new office at Stoneleigh Park, which is being transformed into a centre for agricultural excellence, to coincide with becoming sole distributor for the new and unique pig vaccine in the UK and Ireland.

The vaccine, called Ecoporc Shiga and manufactured in Germany, is designed to protect weaning piglets from a potentially lethal strain of E. coli which is known to be present in around a third of pig farms.

Geoff Hooper, director of Hysolv Animal Health UK, said: “There is nothing else like this vaccine on the market and its potential could be huge.”

The vaccine is a new venture for the company, which until now has specialised in hygiene and biosecurity products to protect farm animals against disease.

The company, also based in Wales, has now moved its Leicestershire office to Stoneleigh Park.
