The famous racecourse has just moved to an all-jump calendar for the first time in its history – with the aim of becoming a leading national jumps course. And that move has won support from two of its regular visitors – who have a vested interest.

Residential property agent ehB Residential, which has offices in Leamington and Warwick, had just agreed to sponsor former Welsh Grand National winning jockey Charlie Poste, who lives in Warwickshire, when the changes were announced.

The 31-year-old jump jockey, who lives in Wilmcote near Stratford, will be sporting the ehB Residential logo across his breeches and polo neck for a second National Hunt season.

He competes regularly at Warwick Racecourse and believes that its change to an all jumps programme will only help to boost his success nationally but also boost ehBesidential’s profile locally.

He said: “From a personal point of view, the more racing I can have at Warwick the better, so I think it’s great that the course has implemented an all jumps race programme.

“It gives the racecourse an opportunity to establish itself as one of the country’s leading jump tracks.

“It has always been a really good jumps track and the chase track in particular always lends itself to exciting jump racing.

“With a packed schedule this season will also allow ehB Residential to gain additional exposure locally.

“Having a sponsor is a real asset and I’m delighted to have the support of ehB Residential for a second year.

“Last season went really well. I had a decent amount of winners including big race winners at Cheltenham, Ascot and Kempton, which also meant that ehB also got additional exposure on national TV which is what it is all about.

“I am looking forward to continuing to progress and hopefully ride a few big winners again this season.”

Edward Bromwich, managing director at ehB Residential, added: “It is great for us to be able to sponsor Charlie for a second year.

“It was great to see the ehB Residential branding on television last season and we received really positive feedback from buyers both locally and across the country.

“Charlie competes a lot at Warwick and with the racecourse now concentrating solely on establishing a leading jumps programme, I’m sure it will prove an even better avenue for us to gain more exposure locally.

“We are really proud of Charlie’s achievements. He trains really hard to ensure that he keeps a high level of fitness and we are positive that he will go on to achieve fantastic results again this season.”
