It is the moment we have been waiting for - new data shows that every neighbourhood in Leamington, Warwick and Kenilworth has been put into the lowest Covid rate category.

This 'nearly Covid free' category is for areas that have recorded 0-2 cases over a seven-day period, according to the Government's seven-day rolling rates.

These rates record positive cases over a seven-day average, up to April 16.

As we previously reported at the beginning of the week, all the neighbourhoods bar one - Leamington Brunswick - had been placed into the lowest category. And now, as expected, Leamington Brunswick has been placed into the 'nearly Covid free' category.

This means that the whole of the Warwick district is at its lowest Covid rate level for many months. There have been just ten positive cases over the seven-day period to April 16, giving it a rolling rate of just 7 cases per 100,000 people.

The only worrying note for Warwickshire is that the Nuneaton and Bedworth area has seen a 73.5% rise in cases.

It is also worth remembering that cases are expected to rise again with the easing of lockdown - but hopefully they be controlled, partly by the vaccine. Health experts predict the next few days will be crucial in determining how the easing of lockdown has affected the figures.

Here are the figures for Coventry and the Warwickshire boroughs and districts, covering the seven-day period up to April 16. The rolling rate is the number of cases per 100,000 people.
