An insight into lettings

For the past week, pupils from the school have been given an insight into what different people do for a living and were given the chance to meet a variety of visitors ranging from pilots, vets, estate agents and the emergency services. The visitors were invited into the school to talk about the skills required in order to pursue a career in their various job roles.

During the course of the week, pupils have been given a variety of activities, including a competition in which the children were provided with a budget of £20 and were given the task of planning the best possible way to spend it in order to start their own business.

On Thursday afternoon the pupils and visitors were working together so that pupils could design their own business ventures using the knowledge they had gained from different members of the community throughout the week.

Vik Tara, managing director, said: “We’re really happy to be supporting what we felt was a brilliant initiative from this community focused primary school.

“We also opened our doors to year five pupils on Wednesday to give them a behind the scenes look at an estate agency business.”
