Firm to put its lettings data on social media

Vital marketplace data and industry trends will now be available to thousands of landlords via Northwood UK’s newly launched Facebook and Twitter platforms.

The leading nationwide property franchise has committed to providing the up-to-the-minute information from its 75 offices and network of 10,000 landlords on its Facebook page, facebook.com/NorthwoodUK, and Twitter feed, @northwooduk.

Recognising that with more than 1.6 million people searching online every month for lettings and estate agents, Northwood decided it needed to engage with social networks to share its unique inside knowledge amassed from its UK-wide network.

Lettings industry trends such as increases in rent arrears and tenant evictions will provide Northwood customers with the benefit of inside knowledge to help inform their decisions on renting and letting.

Nick Cooper, managing director of Northwood, said: “One of the great advantages of having a Facebook page and Twitter feed is that we can broadcast important information about the lettings industry as it happens, ensuring our customers are well informed about any changes that may affect them.

“The growing influence of social media across our day-to-day lives has transformed the way people interact with letting agents and as a result, has created a need for property businesses to expand their online visibility. By expanding to Facebook and Twitter we are making it as convenient as possible for our tenants and landlords to get in touch by fitting in with their daily online routines.”

Northwood offers property sales, lettings and financial services.
