Lettings agency wins an award for innovation

A dynamic husband and wife team who took over the Belvoir specialist property lettings agency in Leamington two years ago have come out tops in the company’s national awards scheme.

John and Sue Warburton, whose business is based at 22 Denby Buildings, Regent Grove, scooped the title for Best Innovation at an annual awards ceremony staged at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.

Their creative drive and sense of fun impressed thejudges and Belvoir’s chairman and CEOMike Goddard said: “This is a husband and wife team who never cease to come up with some wonderful, eye -catching ideas to engage with customers – ranging from young students looking for accommodation in the area through to their broad portfolio of private landlord clients.

“From a fully customised Vespa scooter parked inside their office to an amazing on-line video competition on You Tube, they know how to target and engage with the local market very effectively and have successfully grown their business with the support of local landlords and tenants alike.”

Since taking over the office just two years ago, John and Sue were also shortlisted in the 2014 Negotiator Awards for Midlands Agency of the Year.

Away from the day to day running of the business, Sue, John and their team also devote their energies to raising money for local charities.

Five members of the office took part in the Wolf Run and they have also collected for local charity ‘Molly Olly’s wishes’ – set up in remembrance of a young girl who lost her life to cancer.

After collecting their innovation award from Mike Goddard and journalist and TV consumer champion, Dominic Littlewood, Sue said: “Providing an exceptional service to local landlords and tenants gives us all a real sense of satisfaction, but we also get a buzz out of helping others and this year we will continue with charity fundraising.”
