Property women focus on the green

GREEN property schemes must be discussed more in the industry, say a group of Midlands women who are at the heart of the field.

Midland law firm Wright Hassall recently hosted the Association of Women in Property’s first meeting in Warwickshire, where members welcomed Mark Fairbairn, a governor at Milverton Primary School, to explain the practicalities of gaining funding, scheduling the work and the benefits of sustainable projects. The school was the first in the county to install solar panels.

Juliet Carter, a designer at Building Arts, which managed the project, also gave a presentation.

Following the event, Wright Hassall is now planning to stage a ‘green forum’ where environmental issues within the property industry can be discussed.
