Appeal over road rage attack near Southam

Police have launched an appeal for information relating to a violent assault of a driver in Bishops Itchington.

The victim had confronted the driver of a grey MG Rover 25 at the temporary traffic lights on Station Road, who was described to be driving dangerously towards Southam.

The driver of the MG then attacked the victim by tripping them up and then contining to kick and punch them while on the floor. He then got back into the car and drove off towards the M40.

The victim has told officers that there were many cars which had stopped at the lights, but no one got out to help.

The incident occurred on Monday July 21 at around 3pm. The driver is described as white, approximately 6 ft 2 ins, of a lean, medium build, 18 to 20 years old and with “ice cream blonde” hair, which was short and curly. He had fine delicate, feminine features with whispy facial hair, wore pale blue jeans, an unbuttoned shirt and had a local accent. His MG had a spoiler with a dropped front and a large noisy altered exhaust.
