Hide AdZheng had been looking after her own three children and her niece while family members worked nearby at The Great Wall takeaway on Linden Drive, Lutterworth.
The jury heard that Zheng “lost control” and fatally shook her niece.
Experts discovered that the baby suffered seriousbrain damage, most likely to have been caused by being shaken.
In sentencing Zheng, Judge Nicholas Dean said he had been influence by a statement from baby Phoebe’s father, asking the judge to be lenient with Zheng, so she could return to her own children as soon as possible.
