Charities benefit at village celebration

‘BUBBENHALLIANS’ celebrated 25 years of using their village hall by donating £3,000 to charity.

Around 100 people packed the hall for a special anniversary party to mark the occasion and present the donation to charities in support of village teenager Chris Haynes, who is undergoing rehabilitation treatment after breaking his neck while on holiday in Majorca.

His parents nominated ENRYCH Warwickshire, the Barbara Bus Fund and the Spinal Injuries Association as causes for the event to support.

Speaking at the celebration, village hall chairman Alan Roe said: “This is just one very special event this year that typifies the outstanding Bubbenhall community spirit.

“The village as a whole deserves huge credit for sustaining the fundraising and other efforts that, 25 years on, has given us a village hall to be truly proud of.”
