Armed police stopped a car in Leamington.

The Operational Patrol Unit for Warwickshire, known as OPU Warwickshire, said the vehicle was stopped this morning (Tuesday September 15).

The OPU team posted on their Facebook page saying the car was stopped because it was linked to a serious assault in Coventry

Officers also found drugs in the vehicle.

The post said: "There was also a quantity of Class A and B drugs in the vehicle and as such it, along with its three occupants are now spending some time with us."
