A 37-year-old Warwick man has been charged following an armed robbery at a supermarket in the town.

Jack Stopps of Shakespeare Avenue has been charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.

The charges are in relation to an armed robbery at Tesco Express in Chase Meadow Square on Tuesday (November 10) night.

A 25-year-old man from Warwick was also arrested this afternoon on suspicion of robbery and possession of class A drugs, and remains in police custody.
