Officers with Tasers deployed after reports of man with Samurai sword in Leamington - but all was not as it seemed

Police officers with Tasers were deployed after reports of a man with a Samurai sword in Leamington.

Despite concerns, the officer behind the Policing South Warwickshire Facebook page, shared the incident saying it was not as it all seemed.

The post said: "Patrol officers from Leamington deployed with Taser to reports of a man walking down Warwick Street holding a Samurai sword.

"Upon engagement, the "sword" was found to be an umbrella with a sword-hilt handle.

"Not everything is always as it seems. Cosplay safe!"
