Avonvale Veterinary Centres will host the two-mile jaunt at Newbold Comyn in Leamington this Sunday, October 7, at 10am.

Kim Rathbone, a veterinary nurse, will lead the walk with other staff members and their dogs. Representatives from Dogs for Good will also be there with some of the current canines in training.

Kim said: “We decided to host this event to encourage the community to support our cause by enjoying a walk in Warwickshire’s picturesque countryside with their dogs.

“We are asking all participants to donate at least £5 to raise much-needed funds for Dogs for Good. Its volunteers assist by training dogs to support families and people with disabilities. We’re honoured to sponsor such an important cause, as these dogs help give people their independence back.”

The Banbury based charity is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Avonvale is contributing towards the costs of training, feeding and providing healthcare for a puppy, which costs more than £20,000 throughout its working life.
