Driver killed in collision with lorry on M6

A man died in a collision with a lorry on the M6 this morning (Thursday, February 4).

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called shortly before 1.55am this morning to the northbound carriageway of the M6 between junctions 5 and 6.

The incident involved a car and a lorry.

A paramedic area support officer in a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance crew and the Medical Emergency Response Incident Team (MERIT) attended the scene.

The car driver was confirmed dead at the scene. The lorry driver was shaken but uninjured.
