Driver sought after hit and run accident on A46

The collision, which took place in the northbound carriageway near the Stoneleigh junction at 8.15am, is believed to have happened when the driver of a black Vauxhall Corsa swerved to avoid a silver sports car.

The Corsa rolled onto its side into the central reservation. Its driver, a Leamington man, was taken by ambulance to Warwick Hospital with minor injuries.

The man driving the silver sports car did not stop and police are appealing for him to contact them.

The middle and outside lane of the A46 were closed for several hours while the Corsa was freed from high tension wires in the central reservation.
