Driving ban for woman who flipped her car in Braunston pub car park

The driver of a car that ended up on top of two vehicles in a pub car park has been banned from driving for 14 months after she admitted being over the alcohol limit.

Joanna Price, aged 44, was arrested after she crashed her Renault Kangoo into two vehicles in the car park of the Boat House in Braunston.

Witnesses to the crash, on May 27, said Price appeared to lose control on a nearby road and her vehicle the travelled down two grass banks before flipping over and landing on the roof of two parked cars.

Price appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday and admitted driving while over the alcohol limit. She was recorded a reading of 44 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

As well as the driving ban, Price, of Oberon Close, Rugby, was fined £210, must pay victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £235.
