Sam Underwood from 2nd Warwick Sea Scouts has laid the chocolatey trail with 10 questions as another way to help boost the profile of the appeal.

He said: “I am trying to raise money for the new Scout hut so I did a trail around the park.

To make it more fun I added in chocolate prizes.”

Trail sheets are £1 from Warwick Tea Rooms cafe and Warwick Boats for the next week.

The club is hoping to build a new site in the park and last month had a boost with a £2,000 donation from Calor Gas as teh latest businss to sign up to the fundraising partnership scheme.

The club has also passed its first phase of fundraising with £30,000 raised - and are now looking to a summer of activities to help bring in another £650,000 for the build.

Janette Eslick, volunteer fundraiser for the troop, said: “Calor Gas’s generous donation has helped to fund the final stages of planning for our HQ building.

“The firm’s funding will help us on our way to ensuring a sustainable future for 2nd Warwick Sea Scouts, enabling us to accommodate not just our current 170 members but also the 130 on the waiting list.”
