Emergency services called to help man on a roof in Bilton

Emergency services are currently in a road in Bilton after a man was injured.

Fire crews and The West Midlands Ambulance trust crews were called out this morning to Alwyn Road.

A spokesperson from The West Midland Ambulance Trust said: “We were called at 11.37am to Alwyn Road and are still there on the scene at the moment.

“We were called to report of a patient on a roof. The patient is a man believed to be in his 50s and is being treated for a rib injury and is going to be taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.

“Warwickshire fire service are there as well for us we had in attendance one ambulance one paramedic area support officer and the Trust Hazardous Area Response Team known as the HART team.”

It is currently unknown why the man was on the roof at the time.
