Vote Alumet in Euro poll

SOUTHAM-based construction and renewable energy firm Alumet is appealing for Warwickshire’s votes in a contest to find Europe’s most sustainable companies.

The firm has been nominated as a finalist in the European Business Awards’ environment and corporate responsibility section. Every UK nominee has produced a short film, with the public able to vote on the awards website for their national champion.

A panel of judges will also watch the films and choose between five and 20 other organisations from around the UK before a third panel of judges identifies the top 110 European firms which will receive Ruban d’Honneur status in April 2013.

The awards’ chief executive Adrian Tripp said: “This new process provides a greater opportunity for companies to engage with supporters in their own country as well as presenting their achievements to a wider audience across Europe. These videos show some of the most sustainable companies in Europe.”

Voting runs until Wednesday October 17.
