Finalists selected for Leamington Business Awards 2015

The final countdown for the second Leamington Businesses Awards has commenced with less than two weeks to go before companies showcase their contribution to the town.

The finalists have now been selected from a wide range of categories, and all will be present at the glittering ceremony at Leamington Pump Rooms on Friday October 16.

In the hospitality sector, the finalists are butchers Aubrey Allen, Kayal restaurant, the Leif Tearooms and Piano Bar and the Stag at Offchurch.Those in the running for the small business of the year include Bayleaf Cookery School, dance studio Motionhouse, Sweet Tayloula sweet shop, pastry specialists the Cakery and the eco-friendly Cotton Nappy Company.

The new business category finalists are Coffee Architects, Tilly Trotter Brides, Totally Rad Music and Venue Menswear.

The large business category includes marketing company Denfield, Fuel Recruitment and Leamington Guide Dog Training and National Breeding Centre.

The national business category will recognise either London Camera Exchange, Taking Shape Australia or Waterstones while the beauty, health and fitness finalists include Blaze Hair, The Beauty Rooms and The Spa.

The professional services finalists are Assured Property Group, accountants Harrison, Beale & Owen and Labyrinth Logistics Consulting.

Business Person of the year will voted for from among Guy Barlow of Denfield, Neil Grainger of outdoor pursuit specialists Lockwoods, Marc Phillpot of the Spa and Louise Richard of Motionhouse.

Outstanding Achievement for 2015 will go to ComicCon organiser Dan Mallier, Helen Beverley of Aubrey Allen or Rugby 4 Heroes Volunteer Team while the young entrepreneur will be selected from James Fox of accountants Pentlands, Nicola Smyth of Nicola Smyth Hair, Pardeep Bhachu of the Salon and Ranit Kanwar of Snack.

The event was founded by wedding photographer Karen Massey and sponsored last year and this by BPS (Building Plumbing Supplies).

All money raised from the ceremony will be donated to Molly Olly’s Wishes, a Warwickshire-based charity providing emotional and financial support to children and families facing terminal or life-threatening illnesses
