Fire at Lillington flats
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fire at a Lillington block of flats this morning.
Seven fire engines raced to the scene in Eden Court, Masons Avenue at around 11.40am.
The fire was located on a balcony on the ninth floor, and all residents of the building were quickly evacuated.
The Combined Aerial Rescue Pump along with hose reels, main jets and breathing apparatus were in use and managed to contain the blaze to the ninth floor flat.
