The woman returned from her back garden to her kitchen to find three men in her house in Emmott Drive on Monday (September 9) at 1.10pm.

Two of them immediately left via the side garden gate and the third man asked her for directions until she told him to go, which he did via the same gate.

The woman then locked her door and went upstairs to find two more men coming out of the bedrooms. One of them walked off down the stairs but she grabbed the second man by the pockets of a hoody he was wearing, realising he had jewellery in the front pocket. He pushed her off and ran down the stairs. The men unlocked the front door and left in an unknown direction.

The woman immediately called the police. She is understood to be very upset and shaken by what has happened.

The items of gold jewellery believed to have been stolen include rings, earings and necklaces.

Officers are appealing for witnesses who can help them identify the five white men. If you have any information that could assist officers, please contact PSI Russ Marsh in the Local Investigations Team at Leamington police station on 415000 ext 4141 or independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
